About the Speaker
Atul Mathur serves as Director and CIO at Credence Management Solutions, LLC. He is a seasoned technology professional with 20+ years of technical management and IT consulting experience for a variety of industries that include public sector, financial, pharmaceutical, travel, automotive, and aerospace/defense. At Credence, he provides business strategy and vision to delivery teams and supports sales and marketing operations. He is responsible for identifying business opportunities and nurturing them through consultative sales process. Atul has experience in all the phases of software development lifecycle including analysis, design, architecture, development, testing, quality assurance and rollout of mission-critical systems. His technology experience includes systems integration, web-based applications, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), DevSecOps, testing & performance tools, real-time distributed systems and object-oriented analysis/design. He has deep knowledge and expertise in the areas of Agile software development, test-driven development and risk management, quality, security, scalability, usability and performance. Prior to Credence, he led consulting groups at various software product and professional services companies. In 2007, he co-founded an IT consulting company in Reston VA and served as Vice President of Technology. Atul graduated with master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology and is a certified PMP from PMI. Recently, he completed a diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from CSAIL/MIT. From 2011 to 2013, Atul was chair of the Business & Enterprise Architecture Committee at Northern Virginia Technology Council and served on Architecture Plus Committee of US Federal CIO Council. He served as deputy commissioner on TechAmerica’s Cloud Commission and SMAC Commission. In his spare time, he advises several technology start-up companies in Washington DC metro area and is a robotics coach for middle school teams.
