M2D2 Monthly Downtown DC Meetings - How To Deliver Bad News And Build Trust At The Same Time

There comes a time in every project when the inevitable happens: things don’t go according to plan and bad news must be delivered. In a business environment marked by tight budgets, short time-frames, and rising stress levels, this happens more often than we’d like.

Based on the books "The Trusted Advisor and The Trusted Advisor Fieldbook", How to Deliver Bad News and Build Trust at the Same Time is a practical exploration of ways to communicate tough messages to customers, sponsors, and other stakeholders such that trust levels actually increase rather than decrease.

Attendees will learn how to see bad news as an opportunity instead of a liability and will walk away with specific best practices that can be immediately applied, including a time-tested technique for putting hard truths on the table in a socially acceptable way.
