Disciplined Agile and Innovation are the topics of our two presentations on June 13th at 6:00 PM at a scenic 15th floor location in the Arlington Tower in Roslyn. There will be a Buffet Dinner and your choice of beer or wine included with your admission.
In addition to the presentations there is the optional Member Orientation at 5:30 PM before the presentations start. There is a separate registration for the Member Orientation. Our first presenter Joe Launi is a PMI Authorized Training Provider and partners with PMIWDC. Joe will share how the Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) certification equips you to successfully lead agile teams. This future proofs your career in a world in which agile is fast becoming the way forward. The Disciplined Agile tool kit consists of proven practices, including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and even some predictive approaches, and puts them into context. Innovation is essential for any organization that wants to stay ahead of the competition. Our 2nd Presenter, Russell Sandidge PMP will share insights from his research from leading experts in the field. Participants will learn about the different types of innovation along with tools and techniques that can help organizations drive innovation. This 1-hour presentation and workshop will explore the factors that drive innovation, and how organizations can create a culture of innovation.

Speakers
Russell Sandidge is a Program Management and Cybersecurity Consultant supporting his primary client over the last 25 years the Department of Veterans Affairs. In additional to his paid position as a Government Contractor Russell is a Past President of the VA Gaveliers Toastmasters and the Vice President of Programs for the Washington DC chapter of the Project Management Institute. He is an experienced Program Manager with professional and technical experience in Computer Operations, Data Networking and IT Service Management. He has an Associate of Arts from Cuyahoga Community College, a Bachelor of Science from Old Dominion University and M.B.A. from Strayer University. His work has required that he be certified by a number organizations including the Project Management Institute, the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium known as ((ISC)²) , the APM Group and Toastmasters International. He is currently certified as a Distinguished Toastmaster, Project Management Professional, Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Cloud Security Professional, Certified Governance Risk and Compliance, SAFe DevOps Practitioner V6, ITIL Version 3 Foundation. He is currently working to become a Healthcare Certified Information Security and Privacy Practitioner and a Risk Management Professional.
Joseph (Joe) D. Launi, PMP, is the President of Project Management Experts which specializes in providing project management, agile, leadership, and strategic and business management training. His experience encompasses over 35 years managing projects, leading project management offices, conducting project management training and improving project management processes. Mr. Launi has published numerous articles in project management and motivation and morale building.
