The Washington DC Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMIWDC) is excited to share its Youth and Social Impact (YSI) program, targeting individuals aged 16 to 35 years. This initiative aims to empower the youth by spreading awareness about project management knowledge, tools, and techniques while fostering essential skills to boost their personal and professional competitiveness. Driven by the 17 United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, our mission is to cultivate changemakers who will elevate their impact on society at large. What works today might not work tomorrow, so the field continually needs new voices to help us navigate the changing landscape. The Youth and Social Impact Scholarship Program is dedicated to supporting the future of project management by aiding the professionals who will shape its evolving landscape. That's why we're offering a yearly scholarship to students passionate about project management. Eligibility
Candidates for the scholarship must meet the following basic requirements:
- Age: Must be between 16 and 35 years old.
- Education: Must have applied for, been accepted to, or currently enrolled in an accredited degree, certificate, or continuing education program in a project management discipline within the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia area.
- Enrollment Status: Must be enrolled as a full or part-time student.
- PMI Membership: Not required.
- Previous Recipients: Must not have previously received any PMIWDC scholarships.
- Interest: Must demonstrate enthusiasm for and a strong interest in the field of project management.
