Call for Speakers now through June 30, 2022
Thank you for your interest in the 2022 DC-Maryland-Virginia (DMV) Project Management Symposium, a hybrid event! We are accepting speaker submissions for our September 20th Speaker’s Symposium event now through June 30, 2022. Applicants will be informed of decisions by August 1, 2022. The hybrid event features a virtual speaker program and an evening in-person networking event.
Symposium Format:
The virtual speaker’s symposium will be taking place September 20th live via Zoom, from 10:00 am-3:00 pm EST. The event will feature an Opening and Closing Keynote Speaker. Individual speaker sessions will be scheduled in 1-hour (60 minute) blocks, assigned during either the morning or afternoon sessions. Each 1-hour (60 minutes) slot includes both the time used for the speaker presentation and Q&A. Speaker’s presentations will be recorded live and made available on the event platform for at least 30 days after the event.
In the late afternoon of September 20th, we will host an in-person networking event, dinner, and a live production of the True Talks with Project Managers webcast. PMI Washington DC chapter members will be invited to this ticketed in-person event. Speakers accepted to present for the virtual portion of the event will receive 1 complimentary ticket (non-transferrable/no cash value) to the evening in-person networking event. Individuals are responsible for travel and other costs to attend. Additional tickets may be purchased via the registration site.
Symposium Theme: Engage. Empower. Transform.
Recent world events have made our world more impersonal than ever before. As the world recovers from global pandemic and other negative events, project managers and other leaders must engage (or reengage) their leadership, teams, and clients more than before. How can the PM community foster and increase engagement? How can we empower traditionally disenfranchised communities? What transformation do we want to see?
