Chapter Meeting - September 2020 - Applying Design Thinking to Project Management / WA PMI Workshop with Nic Lim

For this event attendance, PMI Members will earn 1 Strategic PDU.

In this session, you will learn about the fundamentals of design thinking and develop some practical skills in this approach. Participants will understand the five-stage process of design thinking (empathize, define, ideate, prototype, test) and explore how to use these tools to generate options and radically improve engagement. Nick will use an experiential learning approach to help participants understand and a design thinking tool kit. You will be expected to fully participate to get the most out of this unique learning experience. We plan to use the WA PMI as a case study. Participants will learn some techniques to facilitate a more engaging workshop, rapidly generate new ideas and apply human-centered design to problem-solving. Get ready to learn a lot, test some new methods and walk away with a new toolkit for your next client!
