Disciplined Agile

Disciplined Agile® Contractors

What You Should Look for in Disciplined Agile Contractors

Many organizations hire individual contractors as well as people from consulting companies to help them staff their Disciplined Agile teams.
This page describes suggested criteria for hiring people with appropriate Disciplined Agile® (DA™) skills.

Staff Augmentation of Disciplined Agile Team Members

The minimum is for candidates to have earned their Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM)™ which gives them an understanding of the fundamentals of agile, lean, and Disciplined Agile (DA).  However, we recommend that for anyone in a Team Lead/Scrum Master/Project Manager role on a DA team that they have at least earned their Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master (DASSM)™ designation.

Disciplined Agile Coaches

It is possible for someone with their DASSM to coach a team, often with the guidance of a more senior coach.  However, the reality is that you want people who have earned the Disciplined Agile Coach (DAC)™ designation to coach at the team level.  For enterprise-level coaches, particularly for someone taking on a senior role in your agile transformation efforts, we recommend that they have earned their Disciplined Agile Value Stream Consultant (DAVSC)™ designation.

Disciplined Agile Trainers/Instructors

Any DA trainer should work for an Authorized Training Partner (ATP) and be qualified to teach Disciplined Agile workshops.
