Sunny Faronbi PMP

A highly in-demand conference speaker and coach to project managers, STEM professionals and executives, Sunny Faronbi’s professional experience of more than three decades across four continents continues to provide him with a wealth of knowledge and skills that he frequently draws from. 

With an engineering background, Sunny began to learn what it takes to be a leader when he started leading teams of engineers and other professionals on projects across international boundaries. As a project manager, he realized that he needed improved communication and leadership skills. His search led him to find the strong connections between emotional intelligence skills and leadership behaviors. As he learned and refined these skills, Sunny saw positive changes in his professional relationships. With his growth in these areas, the need arose for him to share what he has learned in the areas of leadership, personal development and professional relationship building. 

Consequently, Sunny developed the passion to coach, mentor, teach, write and speak about leadership, communication and building trust within teams. He started Rehoboth Consulting, Inc. in 2009 as a platform for speaking, coaching and delivering seminars on leadership and emotional intelligence. Sunny’s experience includes the Service, Technology, Manufacturing and Food & Beverage industries. He has worked with companies such as Amazon, John Deere, Siemens, Heineken and Anheuser-Busch. 

An avid traveler, Sunny brings unique perspectives gleaned from real-world experiences. Audiences and readers alike love the practical applications he brings from his insights, including the role that humility plays in building relationships, accelerating careers, and improving personal well-being. 

Sunny holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ibadan and a Master of Engineering Management degree from Washington University in St. Louis. He’s a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and a Project Management Professional (PMP) credential holder since June 2006. Sunny is a certified Emotional Intelligence coach, and is a member of the John Maxwell Team of coaches and speakers. Sunny is also the author of Nothing Higher – Why You Need to Descend in Order to Soar (released June 2021). 

He is known as an engaging speaker and has received excellent reviews from his audiences.
