The Engaged, Empowered, and Happy Stakeholder with Carl Pritchard
What You Will Learn
Upon completion of this training, learners will be able to:
- Establish a baseline of satisfaction with stakeholders.
- Recognize where stakeholders belong in the engagement matrix.
- Identify strategies to make stakeholders more appropriately engaged.
Description
From defining where the term stakeholder comes from to determining how best to manage each group and subgroup of stakeholders, this training examines the classic salience model for stakeholder engagement and the conversation that we need to have with each of them. Are they satisfied? Are you working to keep them satisfied? Project managers may play a role in helping others achieve their goal of being truly happy. Our job is largely to not get in the way of their happiness. It’s also to ensure that they’re clear that our intent in working with our stakeholders is supportive, genuine, and empathetic. Given our roles as counsel and guide for our stakeholders, we have the opportunity to enhance the project relationship and engage our stakeholders accordingly.
AGENDA
-
- Creating a Stakeholder Lexicon and Applying It to Stakeholders
- Defining Stakeholder Satisfaction and Our Role in Keeping Them There
