2020 Chapter Awards Program Applications Due 5 July
The Chapter Awards Program provides recognition to chapters for their contributions toward achieving PMI’s goals; eligibility is based on data from CRS. An email was sent to the president of qualified chapters on 8 June. Applications to apply must be submitted by 5 July. Learn more about the program here. New & Improved Certification Application
We’re launching a streamlined certification application in the second half of June.The changes will apply to all current certifications (PMP, CAPM, PgMP, PfMP, PMI-ACP, PMI-PBA, PMI-RMP, and PMI-SP). Please watch the demo and encourage open applicants to submit by 15 June 2020. After that, our team will transfer as much info as they can, but applicants will need to review to ensure accuracy.

Chapter Leader Shares Expertise on Risk
On May 11, Roger Duke, PMP, PMI-ACP, a trustee for the PMI Augusta Aiken Chapter, spoke about risk and risk appetite in relation to Covid-19 to viewers of The Means Report, which airs locally in Augusta, GA. Using project management principles, he walked through an example of how to apply risk assessment in daily life with COVID-19.
Latin America Chapter Video Poll Results Announced
As part of the LIM—9 May, Latin America chapters were challenged to submit a 45-second video about making a positive contribution or staying connected during the pandemic. Attendees voted on their favorites, which were: Antioquia, Colombia Chapter (positive contribution) and Cordoba, Argentina Chapter (staying connected). Thank you to all who participated.
