Need to Know
Global Volunteers Who Support Chapters Named for 2021
Along with PMI staff, there are two global volunteer groups that support PMI chapters. Region Mentors partner with staff in support of collaboration between PMI and chapters. The Chapter Insight Team serves as a “voice of the chapter” across PMI projects and initiatives. Meet the volunteers who will be serving chapters in 2021.
2021 Chapter Member Satisfaction Survey
All chapter members will receive the Chapter Member Satisfaction Survey the week of 16 November. Survey responses enable chapter leaders to gauge satisfaction and engagement and to measure progress against their goals. The survey will close on 20 December. If you have any questions regarding the survey, contact your chapter partner.

Phishing Attacks Targeting PMI Chapter Websites
Unfortunately, cyber-attacks and phishing are on the rise and PMI chapters and volunteers are not immune. It is important to remain vigilant and recognize phishing attempts. If your chapter should encounter what appears to be a phishing attempt, report it to your chapter partner. Learn more about phishing attacks here.
Write Your Chapter Stories
As you may have heard, PMI Today® is being retired at the end of the year. If your chapter has a story that would have historically fit into the “Chapter Links” section of PMI Today, here’s what you should do:
- Write your article and post it on your chapter website.
- Email [email protected] with the following: (a) the name of the article, (b) a one-sentence description of the article, and (c) the URL to the article.
- PMI will review the content to make sure it is beneficial to the wider community, then promote your stories via PMInsight, PM Network®, and other channels in 2021.
- (Keep in mind that these articles should not contain content-like event reminders or information targeted specifically to your chapters.)
This move to digital will allow for chapter stories to become available much faster than through a print publication, making your content more timely and relevant than ever. Happy writing!
