Need to Know

Update on Project Management Professional (PMP)® Exam Change

In June, PMI announced a significant change to the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification exam. Stakeholders began sharing feedback immediately and the consensus has been they feel they need more time to prepare. We are responding to this feedback with a decision to delay the PMP® exam change

The last day for candidates to take the current version of the PMP exam is now 30 June 2020. Starting 1 July 2020, the PMP exam will reflect the new exam content. If you have any questions about how this date change may affect you, please contact Customer Care.

Qualifications for the CAPM® Certification

Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® candidates no longer need project management experience to apply for certification. A secondary degree and 23 hours of project management education are required. It’s a great opportunity to provide associate-level training and introduce new project professionals to your chapter! Celebration of Service

PMI Chapter 50th Anniversary Parties are in Full Swing!

We are thrilled that the majority of chapters have requested 50th-anniversary party kits and the celebrations are happening around the world! If you haven’t scheduled your chapter’s party yet, there is still time. All requests for party kits must be received by 1 December 2019, and all requests for party expense reimbursements (up to $1000 USD) must be submitted to Chris Mairs by 15 December 2019. Reimbursement requests received after that date will not be processed, so please plan accordingly.

For more information on party kits please contact your chapter partner. And when you have your party, be sure to share photos using #PMI50 and spread the fun!
