With the pivot from live Leadership Institute Meetings to virtual events for the remainder of 2020, we have had the opportunity to try and test new things, reach an expanded audience of global volunteers supporting our chapters and consider adjustments to the Leadership Institute (LI) program that can serve us well now and in the future.
One adjustment is how to refer to these meetings and position them to our global community of chapter volunteers and staff. To that end, moving forward, the three 2020 LIMs ( LA / EMEA / NA) will be referred to as Virtual Leadership Institute Meetings 2020. Individual events will be differentiated by the date and format of the offering versus by regional designation. They will share one webpage on PMI.org and one presentation platform where all of the LI virtual events will be available on demand after the event has aired live.
The naming convention will be as follows:
LIM – Latin America will be Virtual LIM 9 May
LIM – EMEA will be Virtual LIM Webinar Series
LIM – North America will be Virtual LIM 17 October
We will continue this approach in 2021 and beyond, as it will allow the program to grow and include both virtual and live LI offerings as developed. We are excited at the opportunity to consider different ways of supporting the learning and development of our chapter leaders and volunteers supporting chapters. We will provide more details about our upcoming programs, live or virtual, as information becomes available.
