Turning point

Managing projects successfully is an art. For one project manager, her career to becoming a successfully project manager actually began in the arts--as a prima ballerina. This article profiles the career evolution of project manager Denise Vestin, a former professional ballerina who discovered the world of IT project management while working in between concerts as a hotel reservation assistant. In doing so, it tracks the moves she made--over the past thirty years--to her current role as an independent IT consultant and as an instructor at ESI International.
