Choosing the right program management organization

To successfully realize large public works projects (also called programs), construction companies must understand the different types of organizational approaches available for managing these endeavors. This article outlines four organizational program management approaches--hierarchal, flat, decentralized, and project discipline. In doing so, it identifies three questions that can help organizations select an appropriate approach. It then separately details each approach's structure, purpose, and requirements.
