In doing so, it overviews Africa's economic growth, identifies the factors that have transformed the continent into one of the world's strongest engines of economic activity, and looks at investment commitments on the continent. It details the multiple stakeholders in major projects in Africa, including governments, international organizations, local and international financial institutions, private companies, nongovernmental organizations, and local communities. It also explores how the growing presence of China and India in several African countries is shaping the design and management of projects in Africa.
