To bolster business performance, and rebuild client relationships, Symcor Inc. established a project management office (PMO) in 2010. The PMO created a handbook that offered standardized terminology, templates, and reports, and defines which deliverables should be completed in each phase. It serves as a go-to reference guide, and a training manual that starts new project managers and contractors off on the right foot. It ultimately became the cornerstone for all project engagements. As the PMO achieved success, it's taken on a larger role in the company. The PMO has grown from a small team of three to 233 people today.
