International alliances in construction

The United States construction industry has been experiencing a steady decline in its global construction market share.It had become apparent that a proactive evaluation of this trend needed to be undertaken.Sponsored by the Construction 2000 Task Force of the Construction Industry Institute, a survey of 58 people from 35 international construction firms was conducted to analyze their business strategies from a global dimension, their global strategic management, their project financing, the risks involved in the global market, as well as their strategies for dealing with risks.The concept of the multinational contractor is defined, along with concepts of the development of international alliances.
