This article discusses the 'feminine side' of project management, contrasts it to the 'male side,' and describes ways that women project managers can contribute to the project team by leveraging their female strengths. Project teams should be chosen to reflect the diversity of those to be served by the project and contain people with a wide variety of problem-solving styles. Project team leaders need to have an management style which is appropriate and an understanding of the human side. After team selection, a code of ethics must be agreed upon that provides guidelines for behavior and expectations. Ample effort and time devoted toward planning at front end results in well-designed products and projects that only need minor adjustments later on.
