The first art of project management may well be the project manager's feat of successfully realizing nearly impossible projects with little available resources. This article examines the methods that project managers use to keep projects on track when the scarce resources available begin diminishing and scope creep starts increasing. The author discusses the methods that the interviewed project managers use to ensure that their project team continues to work together amicably when stress-levels heighten. Unaddressed, this article points out, the effects of dwindling resources and escalating scope creep could negatively impact the project team's relationship with its stakeholders and individual team member performance.
