I'm easily bored, and no two projects are ever the same. I also love that it doesn't tie you down to one field.

What's the best project management advice you've received?

Always leverage the expertise and strengths of your team.

Who else [but project managers] is going to make sure things get done?

What's the best project you've worked on?

My current one, rolling out four new pieces of legislation that govern Namibia's financial sector. It is preparing the industry for a new regime.

What's a typical day in your current role?

No two days are ever the same! But I constantly focus on engagement—engaging experts, project teams, sponsors and others.

What's most rewarding about your job?

Implementing projects that address issues bigger than oneself. Legacy is very important to me.

How would you describe your project management style?

AA: agile and adaptive.

How do you relieve stress?

I create little pockets of “me time” and fill them with things I truly enjoy, like gastronomy, getaways and time with loved ones.

Why does the world need project managers?

Who else is going to make sure things get done?

Which historic person would you add to a project team?

Joan of Arc. She was able to inspire troops and lead them to success at the age of 17—and she's a woman!
