Project manager training of trainers program for China
As China moves toward a greater market orientation, it becomes increasingly important to develop the country's capability to manage projects efficiently. China has a very large, and still growing, portfolio of projects in various stages of preparation and implementation, and there is a great need to improve the project delivery in all sectors of the economy. China recognized that the capacity to meet this need was inadequate in terms of trainers and facilities, as well as the substance of training. The number of project managers required is enormous, and various methods of achieving objectives were considered. A recommended solution to the problem was ultimately envisioned in terms of a "Training of Trainers" (TOT) program, wherein a core of trainers would be developed, which then would disperse to various regions of China in order to set up centers for the training of practitioners.
