A new music venue is bubbling up in London, England. The Madison Square Garden Co. is sponsoring the project, along with a similar initiative in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. (The Las Vegas project is scheduled to break ground this year; the London project is still in the planning phase.) The exterior of MSG Sphere London would be blanketed in digital screens to promote artists and brands, and its interior would feature what the Madison Square Garden Co. is calling the largest and highest-resolution media display on earth. But there's a risk that this new tech might be old news by the time the project is ready, architect Des Smith told the website Domain. “That building's going to take two or three years to build, at least, so the technology they plan for it will … be out of date by the time they finish it.”
