A systems approach to project evaluation
Systems enable individuals and teams to accomplish their goals. Systems also help project managers evaluate their project's status and progress. This article discusses a process that uses the systems approach to evaluate projects throughout the project life cycle. In doing so, it details the evaluation functions of each of the systems approach's four elements: input (resources--physical, human, and conceptual), process (scope, time, cost, quality, human resources), output (product), and feedback (communications and lessons learned).
