To bolster performance management programs, many organizations are replacing traditional yearly reviews with more frequent feedback to employees, quarterly self-reviews, 360-degree evaluations and feedback from the manager, individual team members and key stakeholders. Adobe Systems has introduced “check-ins,” which encourage ongoing dialogue between employees and project managers. Deloitte has begun ongoing coaching and development, inviting all employees to set goals and expectations for a project.
