The Leadership Institute Meeting 2020—EMEA (EMEA LIM) is designed to inspire and support you and your fellow volunteer leaders in strengthening your leadership skills to benefit both your chapter operations and your career development.
Where is the 2020 EMEA LIM going to be held?
The 2020 meeting is being held 12-14 June in Prague, Czechia at the Prague Congress Centre.
What is the dress/attire at the LIM?
Business casual attire is appropriate for all LIM attendees. Since meeting rooms often are cold, you may wish to bring either a jacket or a sweater.
What is the best way for me to arrange my hotel accommodations?
What if I am contacted by a third party for hotel reservations?
PMI recently has been made aware of incidents in which organizations falsely claim to be or to represent PMI by extending offers to register you for hotel rooms or PMI events. Please note PMI will not reach out to solicit hotel rooms or register you for a PMI event. Should you be contacted by any organization or come across any other website that appears to reference Leadership Institute Meeting 2020—EMEA and claims to offer lower rates or a promotion to register through such organization and/or website, we urge you to use extreme caution and contact email@example.com with any relevant information. These entities often create fake websites that look authentic but are not authorized to represent PMI.
You will receive a Registration ID number when your LIM registration is paid in full. The Registration ID will appear on your meeting confirmation.
Where do I use my Registration ID?
Your individual Registration ID can be used to make changes to your current registration form.
How can I obtain my Registration ID if I lose it?
Your Registration ID can be found on your registration confirmation. You will also find your Registration ID printed on your name tag when you pick up your materials at the LIM.
Will I receive a registration confirmation letter?
If you register online, an e-mail confirmation will be sent immediately to the e-mail address you provide on the registration form. If you fax your registration, your confirmation will be sent to the e- mail address provided on the registration form within four business days of receipt. If no e-mail is provided, confirmation will be faxed. If neither e-mail nor fax is provided, confirmation will be mailed to the street address provided on your registration form.
How will I receive my name tag and LIM materials?
You may pick up your name tag and LIM materials on-site at the registration area.
What are the fees for guests and who can register as a guest for LIM?
Attendees may register non-PMI members as a guest to attend only the LIM evening receptions for a €115.00 fee per person, per reception. A guest is considered a spouse, significant other or personal friend, NOT a business associate, staff colleague or fellow student. All guests must be 21 years of age or older. Guest registration badges will be marked appropriately and will NOT allow access to educational sessions. Guests may be added during the LIM registration process.
Does PMI offer any complimentary registrations to the LIM?
Each chapter receives one (1) complimentary registration to the LIM. The comp code is sent via email to all Chapter Presidents for distribution. If you are a Chapter President and have not received the comp code, please contact your Chapter Partner.
Is a chapter with an approved "chapter with branches" model (approved MYBP by PMI) eligible for more than one complimentary registration?
Yes, a chapter with an approved “chapter with branches” model (approved MYBP by PMI) is eligible for additional complimentary registrations. Each branch is eligible for one (1) complimentary registration. Please contact your Chapter Partner for the additional complimentary registration code.
Is financial assistance available to attend LIM?
PMI offers travel grants to qualifying leaders/attendees. Additional information on travel grants can be found here.
How do I obtain a receipt for my registration fee?
You will receive a confirmation letter via e-mail once your registration is paid in full. This confirmation also serves as your receipt and contains your individual Registration ID number.
Can I be invoiced or use a purchase order for my LIM registration?
Invoices will be generated and sent by email if you chose wire transfer as your method of payment during registration. Purchase orders will not be accepted.
What types of payment methods are accepted?
Wire Transfers - not available onsite
Am I able to pay by wire transfer?
Yes. Please choose the wire transfer payment option in the payment section when completing your registration online. Once you complete your registration, instructions on how to complete your payment will be sent to you. Registration is not confirmed or complete until an attendee's account is showing a zero balance. Attendees will not be permitted to attend sessions until any outstanding balance is settled. A credit card is required to complete payment onsite.

What is the Value Added Tax (VAT) policy regarding registration fees?
PMI is required to charge CzechValue Added Tax (VAT) at the standard rate of 21% to delegates attending the event unless the delegate is a business established and registered for VAT purposes in the Czech Republic. The purchase of exhibition and sponsorship services made available by PMI for EU business delegates is subject to VAT in the delegate's country of residence through the reverse charge mechanism, in which case PMI will issue a net-invoice.
All cancellation requests must be received in writing and emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org 30 days before the first day of the event. Requests received 29 days or less before the first day of the event will not be eligible for a refund.
All applicable refunds will be issued following the close of the event and will be returned in the original purchase format. If paying with a credit card, a refund will take an additional 10 business to post to your account. There are no transfers from one location to another or across calendar years or other PMI events.
Please note: PMI Membership Fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Once your registration is processed, we will update your membership purchase to your account; however, please allow approximately 10 days for your membership to be applied to your account.
I registered for the LIM but I cannot attend. Can I send a substitute in my place?
Yes. Registration substitutions may be made in writing without penalty. All written requests must be received two weeks before the first day of the event. Email requests should be sent to PMICongress@experient-inc.com.
Can I cancel on behalf of someone else?
We are sorry, but unfortunately, verification in writing from the attendee must be received for cancellation.
Will I receive a refund if my VISA is denied?
Yes, your refund will be honored if your VISA is denied, however, your refund request must be received 30 days before the first day of the event. Your LIM registration fees will be refunded by the same method in which you paid. Requests received 29 days or less before the first day of the event will not be eligible for a refund. All applicable funds will be issued following the close of the LIM. Refunds will not be given to registrants who do not attend without canceling in advance (no shows).
We encourage interested volunteer leaders to submit a proposal to present at LIM during the open call for presentation proposals, which typically takes place from 6-9 months before the LIM. The selection process is competitive and we seek the highest quality presentations to ensure a successful event. The selection process is guided by a volunteer review committee of your peers. Please monitor Friday Facts for notification of when the call for presentation proposals is open.
How many PDUs will I receive for attending LIM activities?
The number of PDUs awarded varies for each LIM, for each session and for each certification type. LIM specific information can be found in the onsite LIM journal and on the event mobile app.
How do I claim PDUs for the LIM? How do I file for PDUs?
PDUs will be uploaded into PMI's Continuing Certification Requirements System (CCRS) within seven (7) business days of the close of LIM. Each attendee is responsible to ensure that their badge is scanned at the start of the session to receive PDU credit for attending the session. In the event, you were not scanned or did not receive credit for a session(s) attended, you may submit your missing claim(s) manually. Learn more about maintaining your PMI certification.
