    Houston Food Bank

    Houston Food Bank

Learning Excursion: Houston Food Bank – Brian Greene, CEO – Houston Food Bank & Jose Lopez, Houston Regional Manager – Project Control

The Houston Food Bank is a nonprofit organization that feeds the hungry by seeking food donations and distributing them to more than 600 hunger-relief programs in 18 southeast Texas counties. To meet the growing issue of hunger and expand its distribution capacity, the Houston Food Bank renovated a neglected, thirty-year-old warehouse. José Lopez of Project Control and Brian Greene of the Houston Food Bank will talk about how this new building is helping to achieve the Houston Food Bank’s vision—to expand service to the community to reach 100,000,000 nutritious meals by 2018. After the talk, guests will have an opportunity to volunteer at the largest food bank in the world.

Help ensure a better, brighter tomorrow for everyone by donating to the Houston Food Bank today. Every $10 you give provides 90 meals to hungry children, families and seniors in southeast Texas.
