Due to changing project requirements, this creates downstream rework and waste. This leads to scope creep which leads to financial loss. As a result of participating in Scope & Change Order Management, Built Environment Project Professionals will be able to:
• Highlight the key causes of scope change found on Built Environment projects
• Evaluate a projects scope leveraging the Project Definition Rating Index (PDRI) tool
• Mobilize a standardized change order process to effectively manage project changes
• Implement tools and techniques to manage and pivot scope throughout the project’s lifecycle
• Apply best practices in both scope development and scope management to reduce the number of change orders downstream
• Understand the benefits technology can bring to projects and identify areas of resistance
