The Citizen Developer Business Architect Micro-Credential provides leaders with the tools and methodologies needed to manage citizen development teams. Leaders will learn how to manage the governance processes, oversee the collaboration between stakeholders in IT and the business, and embed the organizational structures that underpin citizen development, guiding the organization to citizen development maturity. After successful exam completion you will receive a micro-credential achievement badge. This course will provide 8 PDUs toward maintaining PMI certifications.

Your knowledge of the course material will be tested with a 40 question, 60-minute assessment. Upon passing, you will be awarded a micro-credential, which includes a specialized Credly badge for placement on your profile and resume.

This course consists of four modules:

1. CDBA Introduction - Overview of the Citizen Developer Business Architect Role and Citizen Developer Canvas. An in-depth understanding of the CDBA’s roles and responsibilities, the key skillsets and experience they require, and where the CDBA fits within the organizational structure.

2. Operating Model - This module describes the operating structures that best support the introduction and scaling of citizen development within an organization. It assists the CDBA in defining which operating model; Competency Center, Community of Practice, or Hybrid is a the best model for their organization.

3. Organizational Alignment - This module provides the insights and tools needed to successfully implement citizen development within an organization by managing change, generating widespread buy-in, ensuring accountability, managing governance processes overseeing appropriate reporting, and demonstrating the value of citizen development to the organization.

4. Maturity Model - This module provides guidance on the responsibilities of the CDBA at each stage of citizen development maturity model within an organization, to assess and evaluate governance, risk and resources needed to reach the different stages.

Throughout the course, you will receive advice and hear real-world stories from four citizen development subject-matter experts to help you gain a deeper understanding of the role of a CDBA. You will have the opportunity to experience relevant role-playing scenarios to apply your content knowledge. Then, download resources to support you in your CDBA role.
