As a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Ubong brings a strategic mindset and a focus on continuous improvement to deliver measurable outcomes in complex environments. In his current role of Business Development at the Lubbock Economic Development Alliance (LEDA), he drives strategic initiatives to attract businesses considering relocation or expansion. He leads proactive outreach through travel, lead generation, and direct engagement with executives and key stakeholders. Ubong builds and nurtures strong partnerships with business leaders, site selectors, government officials, and fellow economic developers, while staying attuned to local, national, and global trends to position Lubbock as a competitive and compelling destination for business growth.

Barbie Taylor is the Senior Director, PMO at Accertify. She excels at bringing balance to projects, no matter how complex. She earned her Project Management Professional certification in May 2017. Barbie has been a member of PMIWTX since 2017. In her spare time, she volunteers for Scouting America at the local, territory, and national levels.
Sorrel Sherrill

Sorrel Sherrill is a seasoned Project Manager with over a decade of experience leading complex software implementation projects. Currently serving as a Senior Project Manager at Aderant, Sorrel has a proven track record of driving successful outcomes through strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and process optimization.
Sorrel’s expertise extends beyond project delivery—having led teams of project managers and spearheaded the development of multiple PMO's and standardized project management frameworks. Certified as a PMP since 2019 and an active member of the West Texas PMI Chapter, Sorrel is passionate about advancing the profession and fostering best practices that enable organizations to achieve operational excellence.
Julian Hooker

Julian Hooker is an Associate Managing Director at Texas Tech University. Julian is a knowledgeable, well-rounded Information Technology professional with 20+ years of experience in Higher Education. Particularly strong in software engineering and web architecture, but accomplished with application support, server maintenance, application integration, and software project management. He received his education from Texas Tech University in the areas of Engineering Physics with a Masters in Computer Science.
Dale Sanders

Dale Sanders has served with PMI West Texas as the Vice President of Programs for several years having been actively involved with the chapter from the start. He brings over 10 years of experience in project management, software product development and technology leadership to the Programs role. Dale started his career as a software developer and worked extensively with design, architecture and quality assurance before moving into product management. He directed the software team that pioneered next-generation messaging and voice recognition at i3 Mobile, leading to a successful IPO. Dale maintains professional certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Texas Tech University and MBA from the University of Texas. He plans to continue to bring high quality speakers to the chapter and support the other PMIWTX board members.

He is a data enthusiast, bringing a results-driven mindset to managing complex projects, strengthening systems, and delivering measurable outcomes. He combines strong project management discipline with data-informed decision-making to solve problems, optimize processes, and support organizations in achieving meaningful and sustainable outcomes.
