Important Update

As you know, the rapid outbreak of COVID-19 is presenting an alarming health crisis globally. In these times, your health and well-being remain our top priority! Therefore, to ensure the health & safety of our members, volunteers & staff, the KPC Board has decided to move all the in-person events & meetings to online/virtual mode. Our focus will be to engage the members with a “virtual handshake” through the use of technology. We will be sharing an update on the upcoming programs with you soon!

While the situation is challenging for all of us, it also provides us the opportunity for self-reflection, self-care, engagement with our families while staying at home, remaining socially connected with friends & loved ones via technology, resuming an old hobby or taking up a new one, staying healthy, and continuing to learn.

Please feel free to share with our team if you have any suggestions or resources which would be helpful for our KPC family in these times. We also invite you to share with us your thoughts about more ways of engaging with our KPC family.

President's Message

Shenila Makhani

Welcome to the PMI Karachi Pakistan Chapter website, one of the three chapters in the country and the most active and buzzing chapter. We are recognized as a dynamic organization dedicated for bringing awareness on project management professionalism and serving the needs of project management practitioners in Pakistan.

To this end, the chapter has organized various professional development programs, including Monthly Seminars & Workshops. Our Monthly Seminar series serves as a knowledge-sharing platform for project management practitioners, researchers and industry / business leaders. To-date, we have organized 160+ Monthly Seminars and 80+ PMP Exam Preparation Workshops.

I would like to congratulate the chapter members, volunteers & the board members for the achievement in First Year Retention of Members and Membership Retention in Asia Pacific Region for the year 2019.

I give my sincere appreciation to all the members, volunteers, and current and past chapter board members whose energy, dedication and passion has enabled our chapter to reach a greater destiny despite all challenges, and those who worked with a true volunteer spirit.

I look forward to a terrific 2020 year for our chapter with great achievements for our members. I hope you will join us as we continue our efforts to support project management and project managers from all over the country.

PMI President and CEO's Message

Sunil Prashara

One the greatest strengths of PMI as an organization is our network of volunteer-led chapters. Chapters are the backbone of PMI and volunteers are "our secret sauce." Volunteers continue to make such a significant impact with their passion, dedication, and commitment.

I believe that both chapters and volunteers are our value enablers. This network of stakeholders gives us incredible insights to the challenges faced by project professionals in every corner of the world. And this community is an incredible platform to make an impact on some of the world’s biggest challenges we are facing today. All of you bring ideas to reality and bring visions to life.

- Sunil Prashara, President & CEO
