    Is Your Chapter Changing Its Member Dues for 2020? Time to Submit!

    If your chapter is interested in changing its member dues, the changes must be submitted to the Chapter Development team by 1 September 2019 in order for the changes to take effect on 1 January 2020.

    Portfolio Leader Roles

    Portfolio Leaders manage a portfolio of products within a key function at PMI. They are tasked with evolving the product management discipline at PMI to create, protect and grow our existing market share, expand our customer value and improve customer satisfaction through the delivery of quality products and offerings to our stakeholders. This role requires the capability to work both strategically and tactically to develop product strategy and manage the entire product life-cycle. Portfolio Leaders are responsible for assessing market needs and inspiring cross-functional product teams to translate industry needs and technology directions into mission-aligned product strategies and requirements, and driving the go-to-market strategy for results.

    The following promotions to portfolio leader within the Global Solutions group are announced below:

    tarn kaur

    Tarnbir Kaur, Promoted to Portfolio Leader, Membership and Communities

    Since 2006, Tarnbir Kaur has worked with PMI across the Asia Pacific and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regions. For the past eight years, she has served as the managing director/chapter manager for the UAE Khaleeji office in Dubai where she led and directed a team in support of PMI’s strategy in the Middle East and Africa regions. During her tenure, PMI new membership and retention increased significantly, and the total number of chapters increased from three in 2014 to 14 today. Additionally, for the past eight months, Tarn has served as the business lead for the membership model redesign effort and has helped steer the development and launch of PMI’s two newest MVP products—Snippets and Navigator.

    In her new role, Tarn will continue to be based in Dubai and will provide leadership to the Global Membership and Online Community ( teams.

    kristin hodgson

    Kristin Hodgson, Promoted to Portfolio Leader, Standards and Publications.

    Since 2014, Kristin Hodgson has served as manager, chapter development, North America, creating and cultivating the growth, development and sustainability of over 200 chapters. She has worked with her team to lead a multiyear effort to improve staff/volunteer partnerships and increase value delivery for more than 200,000 chapter members in her region. She also successfully took on a variety of stretch assignments in support of PMI’s transformation last year. Chapter membership for the NA region increased by 8% over last year and retention stood at 80% through May, 2019, the highest within PMI’s global chapter footprint.
    Kristin is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) with 25 years’ leadership experience in for-purpose organizations. She has served in a variety of senior level roles in membership, marketing, development and customer service. In her new role, Kristin will provide leadership to the Standards and Publications teams.

    Tarn and Kristin will report to Mike DePrisco, vice president, global solutions. Please join me in congratulating and welcoming them to their new roles.
