About the Leadership Institute Webinar Program​


PMI is launching a new webinar program for Chapter Leaders and regional and global volunteers, and you can be the star of the show!

In alignment with the PMI:Next goal of using Community Generated Content and Platforms, we are excited to bring you PMI Volunteer Essentials: Webinars for Success, brought to you by PMI® Leadership Institute.

LI Webinar Series

PMI® Leadership Institute is an extraordinary program for volunteers to learn, share, network, and get inspired. Through our Leadership Institute, we offer in-person and virtual training opportunities to help our valued community members develop in their volunteer roles.

Objectives​


  1. To provide PMI chapter leaders and all volunteers who contribute to PMI, the opportunity to share best practices and to be recognized for their experiences and expertise.

  2. To create an always evolving library of live and on-demand webinars volunteers can use to strengthen their skills and knowledge related to their volunteer roles and beyond.

Webinar Content


Content will be both curated and solicited through a continuous Call for Proposals. Proposals are accepted from:

  • Current or past Chapter Leaders from PMI chapters in good standing
  • Any PMI community member (PMI.org login required)
  • PMI team members (employees)

Presentations should be on topics relevant to chapter management/chapter successes, and leadership and ways of working that align with PMI strategy and initiatives. Broad categories include:

Power Skills

Power Skills

Team building, collaborative leadership, coaching & mentoring, time management, emotional intelligence, team management, negotiation, etc. 

Chapter Specific

Chapter Specific

Annual Planning Management, Using tools such as the Component System, ThoughtSpot, Volunteer Engagement Platform, Event Marketing, Member and Volunteer Onboarding, Resource Management, Volunteer Recognition and Appreciation, etc.

Ways of Working

Ways of Working

Artificial Intelligence, Agile Practices, etc. (as applicable to volunteer roles).

All proposals and presentations will be reviewed by a team of volunteers and PMI team members to determine if they will be accepted.

Webinars will be presented live in a time zone that accommodates the speaker (with consideration of audience potential), and available for on-demand viewing.

Evolving PMIs Brand webinar

In October's webinar, Sally Bryden, Community Marketing Manager and Zoë Nissman, Creative Director, introduced PMI chapter leaders to the exciting evolution of PMI’s brand through the new “Light the Way” platform.

This session focused on equipping chapters with the tools and resources necessary to maintain brand consistency and engage their communities effectively. With the unveiling of PMI’s refreshed brand identity and the rollout of the “What Lights You Up” campaign, participants were provided with practical insights and access to marketing resources designed to amplify the impact of their chapters.
