Join us for a practical walkthrough of PMI’s new social impact enablement for chapters, designed to help you connect with nonprofit partners and support purpose-driven projects in your community. You'll gain a clear understanding of PMI’s updated definition of social impact, PMI's Social Impact Programs, and how it informs our chapter-led efforts moving forward.

This session will walk you through the new enablement resources available in the marketing portal, demonstrate how to activate this work through PMWB, and give you an exclusive look at the upcoming “Delivering Projects on Purpose” campaign launching in June. Whether your chapter is ready to start a project or just beginning to explore nonprofit engagement, this session will show you how to turn your passion for project management into purpose.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Define PMI’s latest vision for social impact and understand how chapters can lead change locally.
  2. Navigate the new enablement tools and steps for launching a PMWB project with nonprofit partners.
  3. Identify the right entry point based on their chapter’s readiness—and know where to go for support.

Call For Proposals


Any PMI community member may submit a webinar proposal for consideration, including current and past Chapter Leaders, non-chapter volunteers and PMI employees.

Presentations will be on topics relevant to chapter management, chapter successes, and leadership that align with the PMI strategy. Topics could include:

Chapter Specific

Chapter Specific

Annual Planning Management, Using tools such as Chapter System, ThoughtSpot, Volunteer Engagement Platform, Event Marketing, Member and Volunteer Onboarding, Resource Management, Volunteer Recognition and Appreciation, etc.

Ways of Working

Ways of Working

Artificial Intelligence, Agile Practices, etc. (as applicable to volunteer roles).

Submission Deadlines: Quarterly deadlines will be announced. Please submit proposals through the call for proposals system.

Additional Guidelines:


  • Webinar content should be globally relevant.
  • Webinar content cannot promote any product (including a book) from which the presenter will profit directly or indirectly.
  • Webinars on PMI and other products (e.g., software, online tools) must be informative (not marketing) and relevant to chapters. That is, the products can be used in chapter work, or the course informs chapters to share information with members.
  • Topics must be chapter volunteer/volunteer focused.
  • PM ways of working are acceptable if applied to chapter or volunteer work.
  • The presentation and assets therein must be original to the presenter.
  • Submitters are responsible for acquiring and sharing any needed copyright permissions for materials used in their presentation.
  • Submissions of presentations given at a PMI event or on a PMI channel are acceptable.
  • Contributors must agree to and sign the Presenter Acknowledgement and follow PMI volunteer Code of Conduct and other governance arrangements.
