On Monday, 13 July, we launched our first annual Future 50 list featuring the 50 next generation leaders that are creating, building and transforming the world through notable projects. These rising stars were nominated by our chapters, volunteers, global account management and regional managing directors as well as our content partners, Bob Safian and Imagination. Representing the full spectrum of regions, industries and achievements in The Project Economy, this group is united by a commitment to project work as the foundation of positive impact for today and tomorrow.
To launch this initiative, we distributed a press release about the list, dedicated our July/August issue of PM Network® magazine to the list and launched a custom-designed microsite: PMI.org/Future50. We also launched a broad social media campaign. Our GHQ and regional social media channels will post as will our leadership. Additionally, we’re sharing social media tool kits with our 50 honorees and their employers to further amplify around the globe.
This campaign directly connects to our Make Reality brand-building campaign, telling the stories of inspiring professionals who are helping shape the future. Future 50 is a valuable new brand property in its own right, but we are also leveraging it as an on-ramp to our 2020 Most Influential Projects Program launching this September and as an entry point for new audiences, particularly the youth demographic (ages 18-35). Most importantly, however, it beautifully illustrates the meaning of The Project Economy. Check out this impressive list!
