A long-standing PMI volunteer, Dr. Danny Chung joined the PMI Board of Directors in 2026.
For more than two decades, he has been deeply engaged with the global project management community through sustained and multifaceted service to PMI and the profession. His volunteer journey began in 2000 with the PMI Toronto Chapter and has since expanded across continents, including roles as a speaker at PMI global and regional events, an author of research articles on project leadership and business transformation, and a trusted pro bono advisor providing C-suite guidance to non-governmental and charitable organizations.
As an accomplished academic contributor, Chung has helped shape the next generation of project leaders by teaching executive courses on strategic project management, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), at leading universities across Asia. His commitment to advancing professional standards is further reflected in his board-level advisory roles with social-impact organizations, where he has championed sustainable governance and effective project success for societal benefit.
Throughout his career in global insurance and financial services, Chung has applied agile project and program management to lead complex, multicultural initiatives across Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and North America. Most recently, as a global executive in IT Operations at one of the world's largest insurance companies, he oversaw technology, operations, regional M&A, and the Enterprise PMO across multiple continents. His expertise centers on technology-driven business transformation, merger integration, and enterprise-wide change, ensuring that strategic initiatives deliver measurable business value.
