Members of the PMI Board of Directors and Executive Leadership team regularly speak at a wide range of in-person and virtual events, including PMI chapter events, industry conferences, and other leading forums.
Our speakers present thought leadership and perspective on a wide range of topics, including the future of work, talent development, and new ways of working.
We are pleased to consider requests for speaking engagements at your events whether virtual or at an in-person setting, as well as podcasts, video interviews, and other content platforms.
What is the purpose of the Speaking Engagement Request (SER)?
The Speaking Engagement Request (SER) is the process by which PMI’s internal stakeholders may be considered for speaking engagements at chapter, regional, and external events.
Whom can I request as an event speaker?
The SER may be used to request as event speakers:
PMI (Project Management Institute) Board Members
Executive Leadership Team (ELT)
What types of events does the SER include?
The SER includes requests for in-person or virtual events, as well as podcasts, video interviews, and other content platforms.
What if the speaker I am requesting is not listed as an option on the form?
In cases where the requested speaker is not listed, users may select the Other option and list the requested speaker name. A member of the global event team will follow up with any additional questions.
What determines if my requested speaker is available for my event?
Speaker selection and recommendation is based on:
If the event provides an outreach opportunity consistent with PMI’s strategic plan
If the request was received at least 4 weeks from the desired event date
Availability of the speaker
How soon will I receive a recommendation for a speaker or know if my requested speaker is available?
All Speaking Engagement Requests will be processed with an answer provided within 10 business days.
Can I submit requests for multiple events?
Multiple event requests may be submitted, but a separate SER form must be completed for each individual event.
Can I request multiple speakers for one event?
Multiple speakers requested for a single event must be included on a single event request form. One form per event.
Whom do I contact if there is a problem with the SER form?
What information is needed to complete the SER form?
Before submitting the SER form for a speaker, please have the following information available:
Type of speaker being requested (Bod, ELT, MD, PO)

What if my event date is dependent on the availability of my requested speaker?
If the exact event date is not available at the time of the request, please enter the proposed quarter in which you expect to hold the event
Where can I find other recommended speakers for my chapter event?
Check out the PMI Chapter Speakers Hub located on PMInsight to view high-quality chapter event speakers who are not internal stakeholders, but have been globally well-received and recommended by chartered chapters.
What happens after the event?
Within 2 weeks of event completion, the requester will be contacted for attendance information and feedback. Response to this request is key to capturing and tracking PMI’s enablements and engagement data. For any other questions or concerns, please contact your Regional Chapter Engagement Partner.
