Empowering change with PMWB

Founded in 2014, Project Managers Without Borders (PMWB) had an ambitious goal to recognize and multiply the impact of project management for those in need. Today, PMWB is a global, not-for-profit, Project Management services organization that connects professionals with other not-for-profit or non-government organizations (NGO) to empower and equip them with sustainable project management processes, tools, and solutions aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs).

The transformative impact of PMWB

PMWB significantly enhances our partners' ability to execute impactful projects. By improving efficiency, aligning strategic goals, and managing resources effectively, we empower organizations to achieve greater outcomes.

Experience the heart-warming journey of María Laura González, PMP, and Fundación Educación Vial as they collaborate to enhance road safety in Panama. They are truly making a difference through PMWB and the PMI Hours for Impact program, contributing to the advancement of UNSDGs #3, #4, #9, and #11.

Let’s make a difference—together

PMWB empowers non-profit organizations with project management resources to elevate their capabilities. Through partnerships with our chapters and skill-based volunteers, your organization can grow from conception to execution, maximizing your impact and project success.

Organizations interested in partnering with PMWB must meet the following criteria:

  • Not-for-profit or non-government organization
  • Support PMI’s for-purpose mission and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

Our volunteers will apply their expertise and knowledge to:

  • Directly/indirectly implementing projects
  • Support planned projects (rather than disaster or emergency relief)
  • Deliver project management tools and techniques
  • Provide mentoring in project management
