Founded in 2014, Project Managers Without Borders (PMWB) had an ambitious goal to recognize and multiply the impact of project management for those in need. Today, PMWB is a global, not-for-profit, Project Management services organization that connects professionals with other not-for-profit or non-government organizations (NGO) to empower and equip them with sustainable project management processes, tools, and solutions aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs).

Organizations interested in partnering with PMWB must meet the following criteria:
- Not-for-profit or non-government organization
- Support PMI’s for-purpose mission and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
Our volunteers will apply their expertise and knowledge to:
- Directly/indirectly implementing projects
- Support planned projects (rather than disaster or emergency relief)
- Deliver project management tools and techniques
- Provide mentoring in project management

Transforming Road Safety in the Dominican Republic: Asthir Abinader’s Mission
Asthir Abinader’s journey with PMWB began in a virtual PMI study group in Los Angeles, leading her to tackle road safety in the Dominican Republic. With one of the world's highest traffic accident mortality rates, Asthir leveraged her expertise and network to develop a comprehensive awareness campaign. Including a book, social media, and documentary, the project launches on 17 November 2024. Discover how her dedication aims to create safer roads for all.
Restoring Clean Water: The WaterRico Project in Puerto Rico
In the aftermath of the 2017 hurricanes, PMWB volunteers and Rotary Club members launched the WaterRico project to address the critical need for clean water in Moca, Puerto Rico. They developed a sustainable water filtration system and empowered the community to maintain it independently. Empowering Indigenous Communities: PMWB and EWB in Ecuador
PMWB partnered with Engineers Without Borders (EWB) to support the indigenous Kichwa people in the Andes of Ecuador. Addressing a critical water supply issue, PMWB provided essential project management support, from planning logistics to fostering community trust.
