About the Board of Directors
The PMI Board of Directors is composed of dedicated volunteers elected by PMI members. PMI Board members play a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s strategy and advancing the project management profession globally. They embody our culture values by fostering trust, building connections, and engaging diverse perspectives with honesty, integrity, and empathy.
Board members collaborate with the CEO and Executive Team to:
- Provide strategic oversight and ensure PMI achieves its purpose and objectives.
- Lead with vision, supporting initiatives like PMI:Next to deliver meaningful value to our global community.
- Strengthen our commitment to sustainability, innovation, and advancing the profession.
The annual nomination and election cycle ensures the PMI Board reflects the diversity and perspectives of our global membership base. The process begins in January with nominations and concludes in June with the election. This year, four new directors will be elected to join the PMI Board and serve three-year terms, through December 2029.
Call for Nominations
The Call for Nominations is open at the beginning of each year. PMI members in good standing for two consecutive years (when service begins on 1 January of their first year on the PMI Board) are invited to seek a nomination.
Election
Every PMI member plays a pivotal role in steering the direction of our organization. The annual PMI Board of Directors election, held in June, is a critical opportunity for you to elect the leaders who will guide the future of PMI.
If you are an active member, you will receive an email from a third-party vendor (noreply-[dynamic_id]@BigPulse.com) with details on how to cast your vote securely online. The 2026 election is open 1-30 June.
