Certification Requirements
- Qualifying Certification or Degree
You must hold ONE of the following certifications:
- CAPM, PMP, PfMP or PgMP
- APM PMQ, ChPP, RegPM, MPLSC
- AIPM CPPM, CPSPM, or RegPM
- PRINCE2, MSP, or MoP
OR a Master's degree in Project or Program Management from an accredited college or university.
- Training Requirements
This bundled exam + course fulfills the GPM-b training requirement. No additional training is needed.

An update to the
GPM-b™ certification is coming
The globally recognized Green Project Manager – Basic™ (GPM-b™) certification is evolving into the Certified Sustainable Project Professional (CSPP)™ certification, effective 5 June 2026.
Built for today’s project landscape, the CSPP™ certification equips you to embed sustainability across every stage of the project lifecycle—shifting from purpose-led participation to business value-led capability, and helping you deliver projects that reduce risk, improve efficiency and achieve measurable value for people, planet and prosperity.
- Current GPM-b™ certification holders will be eligible for a no-cost upgrade.
- Applicants may take the current GPM-b™ exam through 31 December 2026.

Your GPM-b certification is valid for five years, with no maintenance or renewal.
To keep your GPM-b certification active after five years, simply take the exam again. No need to repeat the course.
