Karla Eidem is the Global Head, Transformation & Project Delivery at Project Management Institute. In this strategic role, Karla is accountable for setting the vision and driving the planning and execution of PMI’s Enterprise Project Portfolio (EPP) roadmap and transformation initiatives. She oversees business process improvements and enterprise-wide project and change management activities designed to advance the organization’s PMI:Next strategy. Karla leads the Transformation Management Office (TMO) and Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) teams, champions global alignment and capability delivery governance, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement across PMI.

Previously, Karla served as Regional Managing Director for North America, where she led the design and execution of regional strategy to expand PMI’s impact on organizations, individuals, and communities, maximizing project success and strengthening stakeholder engagement. In that capacity, she played a central role in advancing strategic initiatives that deepened PMI’s reach and relevance across the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean.

Karla’s professional experience spans multiple disciplines, regions, and industries, including project management leadership roles in financial services and healthcare with organizations such as HSBC and Sanford Health. She has a proven ability to translate organizational strategies into tangible action plans that improve operational efficiency and deliver results at scale.

A passionate mentor and volunteer, Karla has served in leadership roles within the PMI community, including as a chapter leader for the PMI South Dakota Chapter. She is originally from Manila, Philippines, and speaks English, Filipino, Spanish, and Ilonggo. Karla resides in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with her husband, two stepsons, and their American Eskimo dog, and enjoys traveling, brush lettering, dance, and ice fishing.
