Getting Ready for Global Summit 2026!

At PMI, we prepare organizations and project professionals to succeed in a rapidly changing global environment through advocacy, networking, collaboration, research, and education. As we navigate AI-driven transformation, increased project complexity, and ongoing technological innovation, staying connected while exploring the latest insights and learning proven project management practices is essential to continuing to deliver value.

One of the most important ways we do this is by bringing our members together at the premier gathering of our profession: the annual PMI® Global Summit, taking place 21-24 October in Detroit, Michigan. I invite you to join me, my fellow Board members, and thousands of project professionals, PMI members, and volunteers from around the world at this signature event as we learn, connect, and exchange ideas about the future of our profession.

I also call on all PMI members to attend our Annual Membership Meeting, either in person at Global Summit or virtually on PMI’s YouTube channel, Thursday, 22 October. Exact timing will be shared soon on the meeting page.

The Annual Membership Meeting is an opportunity to hear the latest member news and learn what is ahead for our community. We want to ensure members’ voices are heard at this important event, so we invite you to submit your questions, insights, and topics for discussion at the Annual Membership Meeting by 1 September 2026 using this online form.

Then, after the Annual Membership Meeting, everyone is invited to the celebratory PMI Awards Event, where we will announce the recipients of our PMI Global Awards, including honors for outstanding projects, PMOs, individuals, chapters, and our most prestigious recognition, the PMI Fellow Award. These awards recognize outstanding project professionals who go above and beyond to exemplify our culture and values and advance our purpose.

As a longtime PMI volunteer, I know firsthand the value of events like Global Summit. They bring our global community together to network with peers, learn about the latest developments in our profession, and harness the power of project management to deliver value, drive collective change, and lead progress on a global scale.
