ISO 9000 series of quality standards and the E/C industry

This paper provides project management personnel with a synopsis of the ISO 9000 series of standards: a definition of the ISO 9000 standards; compliance requirements; the current status of ISO 9000 standards; information on pending environmental standards; a discussion of the ISO 9000 registration process; and how to obtain registration, including the costs associated with registration and the length of the registration process.
