In the wake of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centers (New York, NY), many Americans began viewing skyscrapers as dangerous places. But as this century's first decade draws to a close, developers around the world are pushing skyscrapers to new heights. This article identifies the world's seven largest skyscrapers that are currently under development, skyscrapers that include Freedom Tower (New York, NY, USA), Lotte Super Tower (Seoul, South Korea), International Business Center (Seoul, South Korea), Moscow City Tower (Moscow, Russia), Incheon Tower (Incheon, South Korea), Chicago Spire (Chicago, IL, USA), and Burj Dubai (Dubai, United Arab Emirates).
