      • Innocentia Mahlangu Pr.Eng, PMP, MSc Eng, AgilePM, FSAICE

        Innocentia Mahlangu is an award-winning and internationally recognized Professional Project Manager & Senior Civil Engineer. Innocentia is experienced in railway infrastructure projects, having held positions such as design engineer and resident engineer as well as roles in project and construction management. In her current role at Hatch, she is a specialist project manager and project delivery sponsor, overseeing projects in the mining, metals, and infrastructure sectors. Innocentia is the current chair of the South Africa Institution of Civil Engineering's Diversity & Inclusivity panel as well as a board member. Additionally, she is the founder of a non-profit organization for women in engineering, SHEngineers. Innocentia has received several awards including PMI Future 50 Young Global Project Leader. She is also a TEDx Speaker and the author of Unleash Your Unique Advantage, targeted at advancing women.

      • Taras Fedoruk PMP, PSM II, KCP, SPS

        Taras Fedoruk is a project and program management professional, trainer, coach, and mentor from Ukraine. He is experienced in various IT fields, including FinTech, marketing analytics, internal business process automation, and healthcare. Taras' goal is to create and maintain an environment for teams to become better versions of themselves every day. Taras has worked on several implementation and greenfield product launch projects since 2013. Additionally, he has trained over 700 people in project management and agile ways of working disciplines, consulted companies, and mentored individuals. Taras is an active volunteer in the PMI Ukraine Chapter and is certified in PMP, PSM II, KCP, SPS, and several other industry-recognized providers.

      • Captain Samuel M. Clark, USAF, MBA

        Samuel Michael Clark was born in Portland, Oregon and grew up in Astoria, Oregon. He attended the University of Portland from 2008-2013 and earned a BS in Civil Engineering and a commission into the United States Air Force (as a second lieutenant, civil engineer and officer). Samuel earned a Masters in Business Administration from Liberty University in 2017 and was promoted to the rank of Captain. Samuel then earned a Masters in Engineering Management (as well as a graduate certificate in Autonomous Systems) from the Air Force Institute of Technology (Dayton, Ohio) in 2018. Samuel has been stationed in Delaware, Ohio, North Dakota, Germany, and deployed to Kuwait, Qatar, Niger, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

      • Imre Szlay MSc, PMP

        Imre Szlay MSc, PMP earned an MSC of mathematics and Informatics from the University of Szeged, Hungary in 1979 and a PMP from Project Management Institute in 2004. Married with three sons, Imre is a project trainer, coach, and consultant specializing in organizational projects, culture, environments, and office development. Imre has held leadership positions at multiple international companies — including Digital-Compaq-HP and Vodafone — where he gained broad experience and specialization in ICT and organization development projects of different sizes and levels of complexity in the international environment. With experience leading software development, system integration, services businesses and project management offices, Imre is currently the CEO of John von Neumann Computer Society and has been the president of his local PMI chapter for many years.

      • Ricardo Viana Vargas, PhD, PMP

        Ricardo Viana Vargas, PhD, PMP is an experienced leader in global operations, project management, business transformation and crisis management. Founder and managing director of Macrosolutions, a consulting firm with international operations in energy, infrastructure, IT, oil and finance, he managed more than $20 billion in international projects in the past 25 years. Former chairman of Project Management Institute (PMI), Ricardo created and led the Brightline Initiative from 2016 to 2020 and was the director of project management and infrastructure at the United Nations, leading more than 1,000 projects in humanitarian and development projects. He wrote 16 books in the field, has delivered 250 keynote addresses in 40 countries, and hosts the "5 Minutes Podcast," which has reached 12 million views. Ricardo holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, a master's in Industrial Engineering, and an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering.

For over a decade, these three scholars have mobilized the project management community to advance research in three crucial fields: organizational project management, leadership in projects and governance. With an impressive body of publications, they have had a profound and enduring impact, both theoretically and in practice. The award was presented to the team at the EURAM event in Winterthur Switzerland on June 16th. Congratulations and PMI thanks them for their contribution to the project management profession.
