Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Scholarships

Scholarships

As PMI continues our journey in the space of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DE&I), merit-based scholarships specifically aligned with current Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) serve to help increase the pipeline of diverse groups of project professionals and close the equity gap amongst marginalized and underrepresented communities to achieve higher education degrees, and advance careers.

PMI currently has four ERGs (African Heritage, LGBTQIA+, Neurodivergent and Disability, and Women’s), and will award four $5000 (USD) scholarships to individuals attending accredited schools within the Global Accreditation Center. Apply using the scholarship application below.

Application Process

Individuals interested in being considered for one of these scholarships must apply through PMI’s General Application and indicate they would like to be considered for one of the DE&I ERG Scholarships. In addition to the application, candidates must include an essay focused on how members of the represented ERG Community can thrive in the project profession, barriers they face and steps the applicant will take to support the community in reducing those barriers. A successful essay includes what you have already done to make a difference in this area as well as what you will do moving forward and the steps you have taken to work towards that.

Applications for DE&I Sponsored Scholarships open 15 March 2024 and are available until 19 May 2024. APPLY HERE

Please note there is only one application for all scholarships. All application materials must be in English. See here for complete Scholarship Application Guidelines.
