Amit Goyal is Regional Managing Director for South Asia at PMI. In this role, he is committed to cultivating a unified and dynamic team to enhance PMI’s presence across the region. Under his direction, South Asia’s 11 chapters will work together to create career opportunities, drive impactful projects, and advance PMI’s mission of maximizing project success to elevate our world.

Previously, Amit was heading edX (Founded by MIT & Harvard) for APAC region and has held executive roles at Samsung and other prominent companies. He is well-known for leading the development of the “Aakash” Tablet PC, an initiative by the Government of India aimed at narrowing the digital divide. Throughout his career, Amit has been committed to driving innovation and enhancing accessibility in both technology and education.

Amit holds a bachelor's degree in computer science, master's in business administration, along with Executive Leadership credentials from Oxford University. He also earned his PMP Certification in May 2024. Passionate about education democratization, he actively supports various NGOs and government bodies focused on child safety, education, and job readiness.
