Janine Van Staden
As Chief Financial Officer, Janine is responsible for leading all financial aspects at PMI, ensuring high performance across all capabilities of the Finance team. She leverages expertise in audit and compliance, financial planning, analysis and management to refine financial processes, systems, and organization. Janine works closely with PMI's leadership team globally and in the regions, amongst other stakeholders, to help drive growth and achieve strategic objectives.
Janine brings a record of success and experience in finance leadership positions at a range of organizations including non-profit and in international environments. After 18 years of public accounting and auditing experience, working in firms of various sizes, including Big 4, she left the audit profession to pursue a calling of making an impact in the non-profit sector. Prior to joining PMI, Janine served in leadership positions at Wildlife Conservation Society, Population Council, and Catholic Medical Mission Board. She also served as a Board Member with VIP Community Services, a Bronx-based organization that provides services to individuals with histories of chemical dependency. In these roles she has proven herself to be a strategic thinker, a results-driven leader, a strong people manager and a collaborative team player.
Originally from South Africa, Janine has been living in the United States for the past 20 years and currently resides in New York City with her cat Karev. In her free time, she enjoys going to the theater, exploring new wine, being a bit of a foodie, and relaxing by a campfire.
