Project Management Institute Champions the Power of Project Management at Web Summit 2024

Lisbon, Portugal - Project Management Institute (PMI), the world’s leading authority for project management professionals, is set to showcase the transformative power of project management at Web Summit 2024 in Lisbon. PMI research found that only 48% of technology projects are considered successful, and for AI projects specifically, some analysts estimate a failure rate of around 80%. • Corporate Innovation Summit Stage Panel: "Sustainability Trends Shaping Corporate Priorities" on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 11-11:25 a.m. on Stage 14, Pavilion 4. Moderated by WIRED Deputy Global Editorial Director Greg Williams, the panel featuring Gopinath and leaders from Belkin and NTT will discuss the growing demand for corporate accountability and how corporations are getting unstuck and integrating sustainability into their strategies.
• Masterclasses for Start-Ups: "Blueprint for Success: Utilizing Project Management to Scale Impact Startups" on Tuesday, Nov. 12 and Wednesday, Nov. 13, 1-1:45 p.m. in Masterclass Room 2. PMI Vice President of Learning, Dr. Kelly Heuer, will equip startups and small businesses with proven ways to create an organized, agile, efficient system to better manage the chaos and increase chances of success. Attendees will get access to an exclusive PMI start-up digital guide with actionable project management insights.
• Impact Drinks Reception for Start-Ups: On Wednesday, Nov. 13 from 3-4:30 p.m. at the Partner Receptions between Pavilions 3 and 4, PMI will host an exclusive networking reception for start-ups.
