Saudi Aramco: Offshore Construction in Crowded Waters

This in-depth case study outlines a project to increase productivity with Saudi Arabian public petroleum and natural gas company, Saudi Aramco. 

The Marjan and Zuluf increments aim to increase production capacity in the second and third largest offshore oil fields in the Arabian Gulf, Marjan and Zuluf. The increments posed a series of challenges such as complex issues around offshore construction. 

The case study details the project planning and approach, as well as multiple measures taken to reduce and mitigate risks.

The Marjan increment will complete in 2025. Construction on the Zuluf increment will begin in 2024 and will complete in 2027.
