CAPM® - Certified Associate in Project Management
Completing the CAPM® shows your demonstrated understanding of the fundamental knowledge, processes, and terminology as defined in A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) that are needed for effective project management performance. This knowledge can be applied to on-the-job experiences that help develop growing levels of competence in the practice of project management.
When to Apply
Apply if you have 0-3 years of project or change management experience.
Differentiate yourself as you come out of college or are new to the workforce by showing you are ready for greater responsibility. Counts as the 35 contact hours needed for PMP®. The CAPM® is registered against the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 standard for quality management systems, providing a third-party affirmation of quality in the development, management, and governance of the certification.

- 23 contact hours needed. Our Project Management Basics online course fulfills this educational prerequisite.
Certification Maintenance Requirements
Must earn 15 PDUs per three-year cycle to maintain certification.
